HOW WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO MEASURE YOUR DOG
X.Height measurement preferably in inches
Please get your dog to sit up as shown in the picture. In this position measure his/her vertical height from the ground by the front paws to either the top of the ears (if they prick up at any time) or the top of the head.
Y.Length measurement preferably in inches
Please get your dog to lay down as shown in the picture. Irrespective of how he/she normally lies, the measurement required is from the base of the tail (end of bottom, please do not include the dogs tail.) to either the tip of the front paws or nose (whichever protrudes furthest).
Z.Weight of your pet preferably to the nearest Kilo or pound
HOW YOUR DOG SHOULD LOOK IN THE TRANSIT KENNEL
Your pet must have a little space (2-3 inches) above the head or ears if they prick up, a little extra space over the laying length (2 inches or so) and be able to turn around in the box with ease.
If your pet appears unable to sit up straight, lie down or turn around in its box then the airline will not permit you pet to fly. This would be a costly experience so please ensure your measurements are a accurate as possible.
IMPORTANT NOTE- Even if your pet's travel kennel has been accepted for carriage before, it does not mean that it will be accepted a second time. If the transit kennel does not comply with the current IATA regulations then it will be rejected by the airline. Please ensure that the transit kennel is big enough for your pet in order to avoid rejection at the airport.
